Canning -- Miscellaneous

Can foods processed at one elevation be safely moved to another elevation?

Rating: 100

Canned foods that were properly processed at one elevation may be safely moved to another elevation, higher or lower. If a good vacuum was not achieved in the canning process, those with weak seals may come unsealed when moved to a higher elevation. If jars do become unsealed, discard the contents.
