Can food be heated to kill insects?

Rating: 0

Because there is the possibility that the eggs are on the packages when the flour or meal is purchased and the high humidity level, it is recommended that they freeze the flour or meal for 2 weeks and then store in airtight container at room temperature. Freezing the flour will change the moisture content of the flour. Therefore, prolonged storage at room temperature (longer than 6 months) will possibly result in some changes. However, if they use the flour or meal on a regular basis, there should be no problems.
