How do I properly rinse out a container that contained pesticides?

Rating: 100

Triple rinse the container. Each time that you rinse the container, pour the rinsage back into the sprayer. You can either spray out the rinsate on a site where it is legal to spray the particular chemical (this should be stated on the labe) or you can use it to dilute the next batch of spray that you prepare. The only other option would be to store the rinsate in a container and then have a hazardous waste company dispose of it. This latter practice is expensive and not practical. One can also take the empty container, wrap them in newspaper, and then put them in the dumpster unless the product label forbids this method of disposal.
