What is the white precipitate in the dripping of a turkey?
When a turkey is roasted and the drip collected and refrigerated, white sediment may be noticed. This is probably phosphate salt that was in the "basting" solution pumped into turkeys that are self-basting. This is safe to eat. When the drip is heated, the salts will dissolve.
