Can I reuse those plastic microwave containers that frozen entrees or dinners are purchased in?

Rating: 90

There are two reasons. 1) You may not be able to clean all surfaces. Sometimes the corners are so tight that food debris can collect and can be a source of food for microorganism. 2) The plastic that is used to make these trays cannot withstand repeated exposure to microwaves. It can begin to break down. The resulting compounds might not be safe to eat and these trays could be a source of a chemical hazard.
