Can I dry fruits, vegetables, or herbs in a microwave oven?

Rating: 100

Drying fruits, vegetables, or herbs in the microwave is not recommended. First of all, the food will over-cook and become dry. Secondly, you risk having a fire when the food reaches the dry stage. Finally, you might damage the magnetron tube. The same recommendation applies to drying flowers in a microwave oven.
