Many school districts have central warehouse facilities where all food
and food-related supplies are delivered and stored before distribution
to individual schools. If proper food handling and saniation practices
are not followed, foods could easily become contaminated at this point.
Therefore, It is very important that all central warehouses also
implement HACCP.

Training of all workers is essential to the successful implementation of
a HACCP Plan. The following curriculum has been designed to teach Child
Nutrition Assistants the basics of food safety and sanitation within a
four-hour timeframe. All information is consistent with the standards
outlined in your School HACCP Plan.
